This function dials the specified phone number.

Syntax


LONG PhoneMakeCall(
  PHONEMAKECALLINFO* ppmci
);

[in] ppmci: Pointer to the PHONEMAKECALLINFO structure that contains the information related to the call to be placed.

Value	Description
Non-zero	The function was not successful.
Zero	The function was successful.

This function must be called in order to initiate a phone call.

When a second call is placed while a phone call is still active, the first call is automatically placed on hold while the second call takes place.

PhoneMakeCall can parse phone numbers in any format, so you are free to use the form (xxx) xxx-xxxx or the form xxxxxxxxxx.
