HotSpot::IStateManager::SaveViewState Method

This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Saves the changes to the HotSpot object's view state since the last time the page was posted back to the server.

Namespace:  System.Web.UI.WebControls
Assembly:  System.Web (in System.Web.dll)

private:
virtual Object^ SaveViewState() sealed = IStateManager::SaveViewState

Return Value

Type: System::Object
The Object that contains the changes to the HotSpot object's view state.

Implements

IStateManager::SaveViewState()

Typically, you should use the HotSpot::SaveViewState method to save the view state for the HotSpot region.

The IStateManager::SaveViewState method is an explicit interface member implementation. It can be used only when a HotSpot instance is cast to an IStateManager interface.

Notes to Inheritors

To define a custom implementation for tracking view state for a HotSpot object, override the HotSpot::SaveViewState member. The explicit interface implementation calls the HotSpot::SaveViewState method to save view-state changes for the object.
