Char::IConvertible::ToType Method

This API supports the .NET Framework infrastructure and is not intended to be used directly from your code.

Parameters

type
Type: System::Type
A Type object.
provider
Type: System::IFormatProvider
An IFormatProvider object.

Return Value

Type: System::Object
An object of the specified type.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

type is nullptr.

InvalidCastException

The value of the current Char object cannot be converted to the type specified by the type parameter.

This member is an explicit interface member implementation. It can be used only when the Char instance is cast to an IConvertible interface. The recommended alternative is to call the ChangeType(Object, Type, IFormatProvider) method instead.
