This code sample is named SyncManager. It demonstrates how to use the ActiveSync APIs, demonstrating such functions as ActiveSyncStart and ActiveSyncStop. The application displays the use of State and Notification APIs to register for the two sync-related status entries: Sync Status and Cradle Status.

To run the code sample

  1. Navigate to the solution file (*.sln), and double-click it. By default, the solution files are copied to the following folders:

    C:\Program Files\Windows Mobile 6 SDK\Samples\Common\CPP\Win32\SyncManager

    Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 launches and loads the solution.

  2. Build the solution (Ctrl+Shift+B).

  3. Deploy the solution (F5).

To use the application

  1. Click the application icon to launch SyncManager.

  2. Click Menu > Start to launch a sync session.

  3. Click Menu > Stop to terminate the sync session.

The main screen shows Device Cradle Status and Sync Status.
