Windows Vista Development Issues

If your development system is running Windows Vista and it meets the following requirements, then you can develop Windows Mobile applications using Visual Studio on that system:

• ActiveSync must not be installed.
  
• In order to support data synchronization, you must install the Windows Mobile Device Center application from this Microsoft Web site.
  
• Visual Studio SP1 must be applied.
  
• When using the SDK Samples, an error may be generated at build time. Copy the sample directory to a new location before loading it.
