DesignSurfaceExtension::Dispose Method ()

Use BaseTrue

Disposes this object and its resources.

Namespace:   Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Design
Assembly:  Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Design (in Microsoft.VisualStudio.Shell.Design.dll)

public:
virtual void Dispose() sealed

Call M:Namespace.Class.Dispose when you are finished using the DesignSurfaceExtension. The M:Namespace.Class.Dispose method leaves the DesignSurfaceExtension in an unusable state. After calling M:Namespace.Class.Dispose, you must release all references to the DesignSurfaceExtension so the garbage collector can reclaim the memory that the DesignSurfaceExtension was occupying. For more information, see Cleaning Up Unmanaged Resources and Implementing a Dispose Method.

System_CAPS_noteNote

Always call M:Namespace.Class.Dispose before you release your last reference to the DesignSurfaceExtension. Otherwise, the resources it is using will not be freed until the garbage collector calls the DesignSurfaceExtension object's Finalize method.
