SmtpMail.Send Method (String, String, String, String)

 

Sends an e-mail message using the specified destination parameters. Recommended alternative: System.Net.Mail.

Parameters

from
Type: System.String

The address of the e-mail sender.

to
Type: System.String

The address of the e-mail recipient.

subject
Type: System.String

The subject line of the e-mail message.

messageText
Type: System.String

The body of the e-mail message.

Exception Condition
PlatformNotSupportedException

The Send method requires the Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP operating system.

The following example shows how to send a simple message using SmtpMail.
