Property Property

Specifies a named property that can be accessed at installation time to modify the installation based on the results of a file, registry, or component search. If this property is left blank, the results of a search cannot be evaluated by a launch condition.

An example Property property setting for a file search is FILEEXISTS1. This property is used to evaluate the results of the file search in the Condition property of a launch condition, using the syntax FILEEXISTS1<>"".

Remarks

The Property property can be either a predefined Windows Installer property or a custom property. Windows Installer property names are case-sensitive; custom property names must be uppercase.
