IntPtr::ToString Method (String)

Converts the numeric value of the current IntPtr object to its equivalent string representation.

Parameters

format
Type: System::String
A format specification that governs how the current IntPtr object is converted.

Return Value

Type: System::String
The string representation of the value of the current IntPtr object.

If the format parameter is nullptr or an empty string (""), the return value is formatted with the general format specifier ("G"). For more information about numeric format specifiers, see the Standard Numeric Format Strings topic.

The return value is formatted using the invariant culture.

Supported in: 4, 3.5 SP1

Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows XP SP2 x64 Edition, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
