Namespace: System.ComponentModel
Assembly: System (in system.dll)
Assembly: System (in system.dll)
public boolean GetStandardValuesExclusive ( ITypeDescriptorContext context )
public function GetStandardValuesExclusive ( context : ITypeDescriptorContext ) : boolean
Not applicable.
Parameters
- context
An ITypeDescriptorContext that provides a format context.
Return Value
true if the TypeConverter.StandardValuesCollection returned from GetStandardValues is an exhaustive list of possible values; false if other values are possible. As implemented in this class, this method always returns false.
If the list is exclusive, such as in an enumeration data type, then no other values are valid. If the list is not exclusive, then other valid values might exist in addition to the list of standard values that the GetStandardValues method provides. If the values are exclusive, the list returned by GetStandardValues should not allow these values to be edited.
Notes to Inheritors: Override this method if the type you want to convert supports standard values. Use the context parameter to extract additional information about the environment from which this converter is invoked. This parameter can be a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), so always check it. Also, properties on the context object can return a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic).Windows 98, Windows Server 2000 SP4, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows Server 2003, Windows XP Media Center Edition, Windows XP Professional x64 Edition, Windows XP SP2, Windows XP Starter Edition
