XmlWriter::XmlSpace Property

When overridden in a derived class, gets an XmlSpace representing the current xml:space scope.

An XmlSpace representing the current xml:space scope.

Value

Meaning

None

This is the default if no xml:space scope exists.

Default

The current scope is xml:space="default".

Preserve

The current scope is xml:space="preserve".

Exception Condition
InvalidOperationException

An XmlWriter method was called before a previous asynchronous operation finished. In this case, InvalidOperationException is thrown with the message “An asynchronous operation is already in progress.”

This allows one component to find out what state another component has left the writer in.
