DeploymentOperationsExtensions.GetPackageBySlot Method (IDeploymentOperations, String, DeploymentSlot, DeploymentGetPackageParameters)

 

Retrieves a cloud service package for a deployment based on where the application is deployed. The package files are stored in Azure Blob Storage.

Parameters

operations
Type: Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Management.Compute.IDeploymentOperations

The IDeploymentOperations object that specifies the deployment operations.

serviceName
Type: System.String

The name of the cloud service from which the package should be retrieved.

deploymentSlot
Type: Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Management.Compute.Models.DeploymentSlot

The name of the environment in which the application is deployed.

Possible values are:

parameters
Type: Microsoft.WindowsAzure.Management.Compute.Models.DeploymentGetPackageParameters

The DeploymentGetPackageParameters object that contains the parameters that are used to obtain the cloud service package.

Return Value

Type: Microsoft.Azure.OperationStatusResponse

An OperationResponse object that includes an HTTP status code and request ID.

The following package files are placed in storage:

  1. Service configuration file - The cloud service configuration file (.cscfg) provides configuration settings for the cloud service and individual roles, including the number of role instances.

  2. Service package - The service package (.cspkg) contains the application code and the service definition file.
