DeploymentOperationsExtensions.GetPackageByNameAsync Method (IDeploymentOperations, String, String, DeploymentGetPackageParameters)

 

Asynchronously retrieves a cloud service package for a deployment and stores the package files in Azure Blob Storage.

Parameters

  • serviceName
    Type: System.String

    The name of the cloud service from which the package should be retrieved.

  • deploymentName
    Type: System.String

    The name of the deployment that is defined in the package.

Return Value

Type: System.Threading.Tasks.Task<OperationStatusResponse>

An OperationResponse object that includes an HTTP status code and request ID.

Remarks

The following package files are placed in storage:

  1. Service configuration file - The cloud service configuration file (.cscfg) provides configuration settings for the cloud service and individual roles, including the number of role instances.

  2. Service package - The service package (.cspkg) contains the application code and the service definition file.
