Configuration Settings (Windows Server AppFabric Caching)

Windows Server AppFabric offers many configuration options for your distributed cache system. The configuration settings for the cache client, cache host, cache cluster, and the cache itself determine how your application and the distributed cache system will behave. In addition to the many configuration settings available, you may also choose how to specify those settings.

We recommend that you secure the XML-based application configuration files used to configure the cache client. This protects the names of the cache hosts.

The following topics discuss these settings for each part of the cache architecture that they configure. When applicable, tables are provided to describe the various ways you can specify those configuration settings.
