Convert::ToString Method (Double)

 

Converts the value of the specified double-precision floating-point number to its equivalent string representation.

Namespace:   System
Assembly:  mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

public:
static String^ ToString(
	double value
)

Parameters

value
Type: System::Double

The double-precision floating-point number to convert.

Return Value

Type: System::String^

The string representation of value.

This implementation is identical to Double::ToString().

The following example converts a Double to a String.

   void ConvertDoubleString( double doubleVal )
   {
      String^ stringVal;

      // A conversion from Double to String cannot overflow.
      stringVal = System::Convert::ToString( doubleVal );
      System::Console::WriteLine( " {0} as a String is: {1}",

         doubleVal = System::Convert::ToDouble( stringVal );
