Check Out Status Tab (Explorer and Plug-in)
Displays checkout information for the selected file. If the file is not checked out, this tab simply displays an appropriate text string. This tab is available in both Visual SourceSafe Explorer and the SourceSafe plug-ins in Visual Studio.
Dialog Box Access
In Visual SourceSafe Explorer, on the File menu, click Properties, then click Check Out Status.
In Visual Studio, on the File menu, click Source Control, then Properties, then Check Out Status.
- By
Displays the name of the user who checked out the selected file.
- Comment
Displays the checkout comment for the file. You can edit the comment or add a new comment. The comment can contain up to 64 characters.
- Computer
Displays the name of the computer to which this file was checked out.
- Date
Displays the date and time when the selected file was checked out.
- Folder
Displays the working folder to which this file was checked out.
- Name
Displays the name of the selected file, and possibly the type of checkout (exclusive or multiple).
- Project
Displays the name of the project that contains the file.
- Report
Shows a <your report title> dialog box that allows you to send a checkout status report to a printer, a file, or the Clipboard.
- Version
Displays the version number of the selected file.
