XmlForm.Save Method

Saves the form to the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that it is currently associated with.

Exceptions

Exception Condition
InvalidOperationException

The Save method was called from the Loading event.

SecurityException

The form template is not configured for Full Trust using the Security and Trust category of the Form Options dialog box.

Remarks

Using the Save method sets the Dirty property of the form to false as soon as the form is saved.

This member can be accessed only by forms opened from a form template that has been configured to run with full trust using the Security and Trust category of the Form Options dialog box. This member requires full trust for the immediate caller and cannot be used by partially trusted code. For more information, see "Using Libraries from Partially Trusted Code" on MSDN.

This type or member can be accessed only from code running in forms opened in Microsoft InfoPath Filler.

Examples

In the following code example, the New property is used to determine if the form has been saved previously, and if so, the Save method is used to save the form to the URL that it is currently associated with.

    for writing the form to the file system. Associated enumerations: System.Security.FileIOPermissionAccess.Append, System.Security.FileIOPermissionAccess.Read, System.Security.FileIOPermissionAccess.Write

  • FileDialogPermission 

    for accessing a file dialog when saving a new form. Associated enumeration: System.Security.FileDialogPermissionAccess.Save
