Creating an Unprotected Volume in a Hibernate Once/Resume Many Environment

The Hibernate Once/Resume Many functionality protects your system from unwanted write access and results in quicker boot times. However, one of its limits is that all partitions on your system must be protected by the Enhanced Write Filter (EWF). You must configure your run-time image to support multiple partitions that do not need to be protected by EWF.

Creating this type of advanced configuration requires a thorough understanding of EWF, Hibernate Once/Resume Many, and mounting and dismounting file systems. It is important to understand these concepts before you create an unprotected volume in this environment.

For more information about Enhanced Write Filter, see EWF Overview.
