Dial-up Client for Windows

The Dial-up Client for Windows component provides the infrastructure necessary to implement a Remote Access Service (RAS) client. The Remote Access Service client allows a computer to connect to a remote network over a wide area network (WAN) or a virtual private network (VPN). The client computer then functions on the server's local area network (LAN) as though the remote computer was connected to the LAN directly.

Services

The Dial-up Client for Windows component will launch the Remote Access Connection Manager service, which is used to manage and display the status of active connections.

Associated Components

This component depends on the Dial-up Common component.

Settings

No Dynamic Hypertext Markup Language (DHTML) user interface (UI) is present to configure the component.
