Windows Logon (Standard)
The Windows Logon (Standard) component provides the interactive logon feature of the Windows operating system. Winlogon starts core system components during boot time, interacts with the Graphical Identification and Authorization Interface (GINA), and manages user logoff and machine shutdown. In addition, Winlogon creates and manages transitions between the Secure, Default (Application), and Screen Save Desktops.

This component is associated with Terminal Services, and with Remote Access Service (RAS).

This component is associated with the Terminal Services Core and Local Security Authority Subsystem (LSASS) components.

Default domain name | None | Specifies the default domain name to be displayed in the domain field of the logon dialog box. |
Default user name | None | Specifies the default user name to be displayed in the user name field of the logon dialog box. |
