Launching an Application While the Debugger Is Running

You can launch an application on a target device while debugging.

To run an application on the target device while the debugger is running

  1. From the Target menu, choose Run Programs.

  2. In the Available Programs box, select the file name of an application and then choose Run.

    The Debug tab of the Output window displays a message indicating that the selected application is running on the target device.

    You cannot open the Run Program dialog box before the debugger starts.

  3. If you have the Processes window open, choose the Refresh button on the toolbar to refresh the display to include the selected application.
