SQL Server 2000

One of the functions of a database is to protect the data by preventing certain users from seeing or changing highly sensitive data and preventing all users from making costly mistakes. The security system in Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 controls user- access to the data, and user-permissions to perform activities in the database.
