This message is sent when a pop-up menu is about to become active. This enables an application to modify the pop-up menu before it is displayed, without changing the entire menu.

WM_INITMENUPOPUP
        hmenuPopup = (HMENU)wParam;
    uPos = (UINT)LOWORD(lParam);
    fSystemMenu = (BOOL)HIWORD(lParam);

hmenuPopup

Handle to the drop-down menu or submenu.

uPos

Value of the low-order word of lParam. Specifies the command ID of the menu item that opens the drop-down menu or submenu.

fSystemMenu

Value of the high-order word of lParam. Boolean that specifies whether the drop-down menu is the window menu (also known as the System menu or the Control menu). Set to TRUE if the menu is the window menu, or to FALSE otherwise.

An application should return zero if it processes this message.

The fSystemMenu parameter is always FALSE.
