indexNum Function [AX 2012]

Converts the specified index to a number.


int indexNum(str tableid, str indexid)

Parameter

Description

tableid

The table that contains the index.

indexid

The index to convert.

The index number that represents the specified index.

This function is a compile-time function, which is a metadata assertion function. Compile-time functions take arguments that represent entities in the Application Object Tree (AOT) and validate these arguments at compile time. They have no effect at run time.

The following example returns the index value of the Party index.
