strColSeq Function [AX 2012]

Converts all uppercase characters to lowercase characters and converts all characters with accents to the corresponding unaccented lowercase characters.

The string from which to copy and convert characters.

The converted text string.

The strColSeq function exists for backward-compatibility purposes. For Unicode-compliant functionality, use the Win32 LCMapString API by means of the DLL and DLLFunc classes. This function supports only the mapping for the following Western European characters:

  • AàáâãäÀÁÂÃÄBCçÇDEèéêëÈÉÊËFGHIìíîïÌÍÎÏJKLMNñÑOòóôõöÒÓÔÕÖPQRSTUùúûüÙÚÛÜVWXYýÝZæøåÆØÅ

  • aaaaaaaaaaabcccdeeeeeeeeefghiiiiiiiiijklmnnnooooooooooopqrstuuuuuuuuuvwxyyyz~¦Ç~¦Ç

For Unicode-compliant functionality, use the Win32 LCMapString API by means of the DLL and DLLFunc classes.

The following example prints abcdeabcde.
