IMultiLanguage3::DetectOutboundCodePageInIStream method

Detects the encoding of outbound Unicode text. This method resembles IMultiLanguage3::DetectOutboundCodePage, except that the source text is in an IStream object.

Syntax

HRESULT DetectOutboundCodePageInIStream(
  [in]      DWORD   dwFlags,
  [in]      IStream *pStrIn,
  [in]      UINT    *puiPreferredCodePages,
  [in]      UINT    nPreferredCodePages,
  [in]      UINT    *puiDetectedCodePages,
  [in, out] UINT    *pnDetectedCodePages,
  [in]      WCHAR   *lpSpecialChar
);

Parameters

dwFlags [in]

A DWORD that contains one of the flags from MLCP.

pStrIn [in]

A pointer to an IStream object that contains the Unicode source string.

puiPreferredCodePages [in]

An integer that contains the number of preferred code pages.

puiDetectedCodePages [in]

An array of detected code pages.

pnDetectedCodePages [in, out]

A pointer to an integer that receives the maximum number of code pages to supply and returns the number of Unicode pages that were detected.

lpSpecialChar [in]

A pointer to an optional NULL-terminated Unicode string for client-specified special characters.

Return value

If this method succeeds, it returns S_OK. Otherwise, it returns an HRESULT error code.
