Mapping ASP.NET Process Model Settings to IIS 6.0 Application Pool Settings

When using worker process isolation mode in IIS 6.0, most ASP.NET process model setting values must be mapped to the appropriate IIS application pool settings. The settings for an application pool are specified in the application pool's properties dialog box. The following table lists the ASP.NET process model attributes and the equivalent application pool settings.

memoryLimit Memory recycling on the Recycling tab.
password Password on the Identity tab.
pingFrequency Enable pinging on the Health tab.
pingTimeout No equivalent application pool setting. This is set at the metabase in PingResponseInterval.
requestLimit Recycle worker process on the Recycling tab.
requestQueueLimit No equivalent application pool setting.
