Click Human resources > Common > Workers > Workers. Select a worker. On the Action Pane, on the Competencies tab, in the Worker competencies group, click Education.

Click Human resources > Common > Recruitment > Applicants. Select an applicant. On the Action Pane, on the Applicant tab, in the Competencies group, click Education.

Click Sales and marketing > Common > Contacts > All contacts. Select a contact person. On the Action Pane, on the Competencies tab, in the Competencies group, click Education.

In Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or cumulative update 7 or later for AX 2012 R2: Click Project management and accounting > Common > Project resources > Resources. Select a worker. On the Action Pane, on the Competencies tab, in the Worker competencies group, click Education.

Use this form to record or view the education that a person has completed.
The following table provides descriptions for the controls in this form.

| General | Maintain general information about the selected education.

| Degree in progress | Maintain information for the selected education about any degrees that are still in progress.

| Notes | Maintain notes about the selected education.

| Education | Select the type of education. The values for this field are maintained in the Education disciplines form. | ||
| Level of education | Level achieved in the current education. | ||
| Secondary emphasis | An academic area other than the primary education, such as a certification or a minor degree. If the person has earned additional majors or minors, you should enter them here so that the information will be available for skill mapping, if applicable. Also, typically organizations use the Education field to represent both a degree and a major, such as Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design.

| Start date | The date when the person began acquiring the education. For example, this could be the first day of college. | ||
| End date | The date when the education will be completed or is expected to be completed. For example, this could be the graduation date. | ||
| Institution | The institution where the education was completed or will be completed. | ||
| Institution information field group | More information about the institution that includes a description of the institution, the Internet address, telephone, and location of the institution. | ||
| Duration | The number of days, months, or years that it took for the person to complete the education. For example, if the education requires three years, you can select Years in the Day/Mth field and then enter 3 in the Duration field. | ||
| Day/Mth | Select a unit for the duration of the education. For example, if the education requires three years, you can select Years in the Day/Mth field and then enter 3 in the Duration field. | ||
| Average | Enter the grade point average that the person had after they completed the education. | ||
| Scale | Enter the scale that the grade point average is based on. | ||
| Credits completed | The number of credits completed for the earned degree.
| ||
| Credit hour basis | The unit of time that credit hours are based on. For example, semester, trimester, or quarter.
| ||
| Credit hours earned | The number of academic credit hours that the person has earned toward the degree in progress.
| ||
| Credit hours required | The total number of academic credit hours that are required to complete the degree in progress.
