Create lines in journals for projects

Applies To: Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R2, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Feature Pack, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012

  1. Click Project management and accounting > Journals. Then click the name of the type of journal for which you want to enter lines:

    • Hour

    • Expense

    • Item

    • Fee

    Note

  2. Create or select the journal for which you want to enter lines.

    Note

    For information about how to create a journal, see Create journals for projects.

  3. Click Lines.

  4. In the journal lines form, click Add.

  5. Enter details about the journal line.

    Note

    You can enter predefined journal descriptions in the Description field by using a shortcut key that was specified when the journal description was created in the Journal descriptions form.

  6. Click Validate to check whether the journal is ready for posting.

  7. If you are ready to post the journal lines, click Post.
