Use the Project/group line properties form to set up default line properties at various levels. You can set up the default line property at the project or project group level, at the category or category group level, or any combination of the two types.

  1. Click Project management and accounting > Setup > Line properties > Line properties..

  2. In the Line properties form, select an existing line or create a new line, and then click Project/group line properties.

    Tip

You can also open the Project/group line properties form from a project record. Click Project management and accounting > Common > Projects > All projects. Select or open a project. On the Action Pane, on the Project tab, in the Setup group, click Line property.

  3. In the Project/group line properties form, click New to create a new line.

On the lines that you create, define the scope for the line property by selecting the projects or categories that the line property default applies to. If a line property is specified for an individual project (Table), that specification takes precedence over any Group line property or the All line property.
