Work with the Driving Guidance pane

MapPoint North America 2006 SDK

In addition to providing voice instructions, the Driving Guidance feature displays text instructions in large print below the map to help you follow your route. Arrow icons indicate the direction of the next turn and a progress bar shows approximately how much of the current instruction you have completed. The color of the progress bar changes to match the route segment you are currently driving. These text instructions are displayed whether you have voice instructions turned on or off. You can repeat instructions and turn voice instructions on or off by using options in the GPS pane or keyboard shortcuts.

When you start Driving Guidance for a route that you have created, MapPoint closes the Directions pane to optimize the map for easy viewing.
