Adding sample data to Great Plains

A macro is provided with the Business Portal SDK that adds sample data for the Lead Maintenance form. You must run this macro when logged into the sample company so you will have data to view in the Business Portal sample application.

Before you run the macro, be sure that you have set up the OLE Note path for Great Plains. Do this by opening a record-level note window and setting the path in the dialog box displayed.

To run the macro, point to Macro in the Tools menu and choose Play. Select the BPSDK.mac macro file, located in the \Samples\DexComponents folder of the Business Portal SDK.

If you don’t add sample data by running the macro, consider adding sample data manually. Otherwise, you won’t see any data in the BPSDK sample integration.
