The following table shows the test case descriptions for the PC Card Driver Stack test.

Test case Description
x1yyy Test configuration-related APIs (such as Request/Modify/Release/access cards configuration) and disable/reset card APIs
x2yyy Test window-related APIs
x3yyy Test interrupt-related APIs
x4yyy Test mask-related APIs (only for PCMCIA legacy test suite)
x6yyy Test tuple-related APIs

Other APIs used for register/deregister client, request/release exclusive access, enum cards/sockets are tested during the tests setup/cleanup stages.

Beside these test suites, testers are encouraged to run manual/stress tests. Some examples include:

  1. Test the power management part of the PCCard driver stack: for example, suspend the system with a card in it, then resume, or pull out this card and insert another card, then resume.
  2. Test quickly inserting/removing card(s) many times.
  3. Use network tests or file system tests to perform stress data transfer tests over card media.
