How to: Change the Plot Area of a Chart (Report Builder 1.0)

You can add borders to and change the default background color of the chart plot area.

To change the plot area of a chart

  1. In Report Builder design mode, right-click anywhere on the chart.

  2. Click Chart Options.

  3. On the Chart Type tab, click Format Plot Area.

    The Format dialog box appears with the Border and Fill tabs.

  4. On the Border tab, select the border options that you want to display around the plot area of your chart.

  5. On the Fill tab, select a color for the background of the chart area.

  6. Click OK, and then OK again.

    The chart plot area changes to reflect your selections.
