Advanced Data Binding Dialog Box

Visual Studio .NET 2003

Makes it possible for you to bind any browseable property (that is, any property that appears in the Properties window) of a control to a value from a valid provider of data to Windows Forms. For more information on sources of data to be bound to, see Providers of Data to Windows Forms.

The Advanced Data Binding dialog box is composed of a two-column table. The left column is a list of properties for the control selected in the Properties window. The right column is the field or value the property is bound to.

To bind a property using the dialog box, select a property from the left side of the table, and click the drop-down arrow that appears in the right column. Use the drop-down tree view to select a value from a data source.

Show All
Toggles whether all properties are shown, or only those that are commonly data bound.
