Overview: Adding Reports to Applications

Whether you create a Web or a Windows application, you can access the same report distribution and runtime options.

For information on the key tasks involved in publishing reports as Web Services, see Reports as Web Services.

Key Task Options Available
Create an application. Create a Web application.

Create a Windows application.

Specify the report. Create a new report to add to your application.

Import an existing report.

Consume a Report Web Service.

Choose a method to deliver the report to users. View the report in the application:

Export the report.

Print the report.

Add any runtime customization. Report Viewer runtime customization.

Report runtime customization.

Build and run the application.
