The full WinDiff command-line syntax is:

WINDIFF path1 [path2] [-D] [-O] [-N name] [-S [options] savefile]

Parameters

path1

Compares files in path1 with files in current directory.

path1 path2

Compares files in path1 with files in path2.

-D

Compares one directory only.

-O

Outline view (no automatic expansion).

-N name

Send notification at end of comparison, with NET SEND name.

-S options

Save a list of all files, using the following options:

  • -s: Compares files that are the same in both paths.

  • -l: Compares only files in the first (left) path.

  • -r: Compares only files in the second (right) path.

  • -d: Compares two different files in both paths.

savefile

Name of text file to which comparison results are written.
