Visual InterDev

Creates a navigation bar object at design time that then generates the appropriate HTML for navigation bar links at run time.

Remarks

The PageNavbar control is used to automatically generate navigation bar links based on the navigation structure you design in Site Designer. Use site diagrams to establish parent page and child page relationships as well as specify global navigation bar pages. The settings on the General tab of the PageNavbar Properties dialog box allow you to specify the links that appear on the navigation bar.

The settings on the Appearance tab allow you to specify buttons or text to display links. You can also create custom navigation bars using the HTML option in conjunction with the Link template and Current page template options.

Note   You must install the Microsoft® FrontPage® 98 Server Extensions in order to use the PageNavbar control. For more information about setting up your environment correctly, see the Visual InterDev readme file (Readmevi.htm) that was installed with Visual InterDev.
