Deploying Applications with Platform Builder
Microsoft® SQL Server™ 2000 Windows® CE Edition (SQL Server SE) supports Microsoft Platform Builder for Microsoft Windows CE .NET version 4.1. Platform Builder is used to create a custom Windows CE operating system for use in a custom Windows CE-based device, such as an embedded controller for a piece of equipment.
You can incorporate SQL Server CE components in the new operating system by instructing Platform Builder to include SQL Server CE when it builds an operating system. If you included SQL Server CE in the new operating system, Platform Builder automatically configures the device for SQL Server CE, after which you can start building SQL Server CE applications for the device. For more information about deploying an application, see Deploying Applications from eMbedded Visual Tools or Deploying Applications from Visual Studio .NET.
