srv_free

SQL Server 2000

  New Information - SQL Server 2000 SP3.

Frees memory allocated with srv_alloc.

Important  This Open Data Services function or macro is only supported in Microsoft® SQL Server™ version 7.0 for backward compatibility.

Syntax

   int srv_free ( void * ptr );

Arguments

ptr

   Is a pointer to the source of the data to be freed.

Returns

SUCCEED if the memory was successfully freed; otherwise, FAIL.

Remarks

Memory allocated with srv_alloc is not freed unless you free it by using

srv_free, which is equivalent to the Microsoft Win32 GlobalFree function.
