Offline Use
Due to the use of multiple Web services and Windows SharePoint Services aiding in the completion of the form, it is required that the user be online (either through a VPN connection or directly on the corporate network) to open, fill in, and submit this form.
Script in the form detects online/offline status in the OnLoad event handler, and, if offline, displays a notification dialog informing the user of the online requirement before closing the form.
Because this form is tied so tightly to the FabriKam infrastructure, it cannot be run offline. However, InfoPath has rich support for forms running while detached from a corporate infrastructure.
