Troubleshooting

If you have any problems completing the QuickStarts, refer to these known issues.

Problem: When I run Setup for Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System, Setup appears to hang and displays the status message, "Removing Backup Files."

Problem: I can't display Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System Help.

Problem: When I run Setup for Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System, Setup appears to hang and displays the status message, "Removing Backup Files."

The message can be misleading with respect to what Setup is actually doing at that time. At the end of the setup process, Visual Studio Tools for Office Setup integrates its Help and samples with MSDN. This process can take approximately 5-10 minutes; you should allow time for Setup to complete MSDN integration.

Problem: I can't display Visual Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System Help.
