You can use Workflow Designer for Exchange 2000 Server and built-in CDO for Workflow (CDOWF) functionality to create workflow applications. Or you might want to create your own event sink or designer tool. You can use the interfaces provided by CDOWF to make direct calls to the workflow engine, and design workflow processes. The topics in the following sections describe how you can use Workflow Designer and CDOWF to develop workflow applications.
