Introduction to the Image Web Server Control

Visual Studio .NET 2003

The Image Web server control allows you to display images on a Web Forms page and manage the images in your own code.

You can specify the graphics file for an Image control at design time in the designer or at run time in a program. You can also bind the control's ImageURL property to a data source to display graphics based on database information. For details, see Data Binding Single-Value Web Server Controls at Design Time.

Unlike most other Web server controls, the Image control does not support any events; for example, it does not respond to mouse clicks. You can create an interactive image using the ImageButton Web server control.
