KeyedHashAlgorithm.Create Method ()

Creates an instance of the default implementation of a keyed hash algorithm.

Namespace: System.Security.Cryptography
Assembly: mscorlib (in mscorlib.dll)

static KeyedHashAlgorithm^ Create ()
public static KeyedHashAlgorithm Create ()
public static function Create () : KeyedHashAlgorithm

Return Value

A new instance of a keyed hash algorithm.

The cryptography configuration system defines the default implementation of the KeyedHashAlgorithm class. The keyed hash algorithms currently supported are HMACSHA1 and MACTripleDES.

The following code example demonstrates how to call the Create method to create a new instance of a keyed hash algorithm. This code example is part of a larger example provided for the KeyedHashAlgorithm class.

keyedCrypto = KeyedHashAlgorithm::Create();

keyedCrypto = KeyedHashAlgorithm.Create();
