Converts the numeric value of this instance to its equivalent string representation using the specified format and culture-specific format information.

A format specification.


An IFormatProvider that supplies culture-specific formatting information about this instance.

Return Value

The string representation of the value of this instance as specified by format and provider.

If format is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic) or an empty string (""), the return value for this instance is formatted with the general format specifier ("G").

The provider parameter is an IFormatProvider that obtains a NumberFormatInfo object. The NumberFormatInfo provides culture-specific format information about this instance. If provider is a null reference (Nothing in Visual Basic), the return value for this instance is formatted with the NumberFormatInfo for the current culture.
