a.   The standard states that this element defines the footer to use on odd numbered pages.

Office applies this footer to all pages if the differentOddEven attribute of the parent element equals false.  Office does not apply this footer to the first page if the differentFirst attribute of the parent element equals true.

b.   The standard states that this element is of type ST_XString.

Office does not attempt to decode the character escape sequences defined in ST_XString.
