Convert.ToUInt32 Method (Char)

 

Converts the value of the specified Unicode character to the equivalent 32-bit unsigned integer.

The Unicode character to convert.

Return Value

Type: System.UInt32

A 32-bit unsigned integer that is equivalent to value.

The following example converts each element in a character array to an unsigned integer.

Dim chars() As Char = { "a"c, "z"c, ChrW(7), ChrW(1023), _
                        ChrW(Short.MaxValue), ChrW(&hFFFE) }
Dim result As UInteger

For Each ch As Char in chars
   result = Convert.ToUInt32(ch)
