Graphics.FillRectangles Method (Brush, Rectangle[])

Fills the interiors of a series of rectangles specified by Rectangle structures.

	Brush brush,
	Rectangle[] rects
)

Parameters

brush
Type: System.Drawing.Brush
Brush that determines the characteristics of the fill.
rects
Type: System.Drawing.Rectangle[]
Array of Rectangle structures that represent the rectangles to fill.

ExceptionCondition
ArgumentNullException

brush is null.

-or-

rects is null.

ArgumentException

rects is a zero-length array.

The following code example is designed for use with Windows Forms, and it requires PaintEventArgs e, which is a parameter of the Paint event handler. The code performs the following action:

  • Creates a solid blue brush.

  • Creates an array of three rectangles.

  • Fills the three rectangular areas on the screen.
