-N Option (Command Line)

Specifies file naming conventions for a command. The following table lists ways to use the -N option.

  • -N
    Uses the settings for the Long_Filenames initialization variable in the initialization files. By default, this option is the same as -NL.
  • -NL
    Specifies long file name mode.
  • -NS
    Specifies short file name mode.
